On the Golden Image where the customer is running the Image Setup Tool, however it encountered and error "Image Setup has encountered an error. Please contact your support provider".

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Check the Image Setup Tool log.
  2. If the log contains the error [ImageSetupTool.exe]main - CE SDK return error code: 103, it indicates that the Cloud Endpoint Service is not installed.
  3. To verify, open Registry and check this directory: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\CloudEndpointService
  4. Open the Services console and check if Cloud Endpoint Service exists.
  5. Then, go to Trend Vision One > Endpoint Inventory, check if Trend Vision One Sensor is installed or not.

Resolution

If there is no Cloud Endpoint Service and no sensor is installed, then proceed to install Trend Vision One Endpoint Sensor.
