An issue has been identified in TippingPoint SMS v6.5.0 that prevents the SMS from automatically detecting and downloading new SMS software releases and SMS patches. 

If you are running SMS v6.5.0 and none of your managed devices are using the 3.2.0 Digital Vaccine (DV) version, you must manually download SMS patch 1 from the Threat Management Center (TMC) and import it using the SMS client. 

To prevent customers from upgrading to SMS v6.5.0 and encountering this issue in the future, Trend Micro is removing SMS v6.5.0 from TMC, and replacing it with SMS v6.5.1, which is identical to v6.5.0 but includes patch 1 to address the automatic software update issue. 

Note: this issue does not impact the automatic detection and update of threat intelligence (e.g., DV, Threat DV, etc.).
