This issue may occur on the following:

  • Worry-Free Business Security Server for Worry-Free Business Security 10 SP1 Patch earlier than Build 2454
  • Worry-Free Business Security (On-Premise) Security Agent earlier than 20.2172

Solution

Upgrade Worry-Free Business Security Server Patch to Build 2454 or later.

 
If the affected agent versions cannot be upgraded. Manually replacing the certificate files remains the only solution to address the issue.
 

 

Workaround

Manually replace cert5.db and x500.db if upgrade is not immediately possible.

To manually replace cert file in Worry-Free Business Security Server:

  1. Contact Trend Micro Technical Support to obtain a copy of the cert file.
  2. Open Services (services.msc) and stop Trend Micro Security Server Master Service and wait for the service to finally stop
  3. Go to certificate file locations.

    Default installation path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Trend Micro\PCCSRV
    …\PCCSRV\admin\
    …\PCCSRV\web\service\
    …\PCCSRV\web_console\cgi\
    …\PCCSRV\wss\

  4. Back-up and replace cert5.db and x500.db files with the one obtained from Trend Micro Technical Support.
  5. Open Services (services.msc) and start Trend Micro Security Server Master Service.
