Trend Micro Email Security performs a comprehensive validation before enabling DKIM signing for your domain. The validation process ensures that:

  • DNS records are published correctly.
  • Your DNS records follow the format for DKIM format specifications.
  • Trend Micro Email Security can retrieve and validate the public key from your DNS server successfully.

Trend Micro Email Security provides a real time status update on your DNS record.

  • A confirmation on the DNS Record Status will show once the DNS record is ready for signing.

    DNS Record Waiting

  • A DNS Record ready for signing validation will show on the status once the DNS Record is validated.

    DNS Status Record

  • If the DNS Record is not published or is incorrectly published, it will also show under the DNS Record Status.

Once Trend Micro Email Security confirms your DNS records are validated, there is a configurable waiting period of 24 - 96 hours before DKIM signing becomes active.

This wait time is set up in your DKIM Signing configuration. To configure use, please refer to Adding DKIM signing settings.
