IMSVA uses Postfix as its Mail Transfer Agent (MTA). It receives messages either directly from the sending MTA or from the IP Profiler (FoxProxy), and it sends and receives messages from the Scanner Service (Scanning Daemon).

The message size limit configuration on the Message Rule and Scanning Exceptions of the management console affects the parameter maxMsgSizeInMB in tb_global_setting. This can be checked in imss.ini.db.

The Postfix also has its own a message size limit.

To adjust the message size limit on Postfix:

  1. On the IMSVA console, go to Administration > SMTP Routing > Message Rule.
  2. Under the Maximum Message size field, increase the value.
  3. Click Save.
