The issue occurs because the target folder where the pattern should be copied from does not exist. To solve the problem:

  1. Go to C:\Program Files \TrendMicro\Security Server\PCCSRV\wss\spsc\ folder. The following folders should be present:
    • crcz
    • crczdiff
    • crczdiff_cache
    • itbl
    • itbldiff
    • tmp
  2. Stop the Security Server Master Service:
    1. Click Start > Run.
    2. On the open field, type services.msc and then click OK.
    3. Right-click Security Server Master Service and select Stop.
  3. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Trend Micro\Security Server\PCCSRV\wss\spsc\patterns and replace the missing itbl folder:

    1. Copy any of the existing folder inside C:\Program Files (x86)\Trend Micro\Security Server\PCCSRV\wss\spsc\patterns.
    2. Delete the files inside the new folder created.
    3. Rename the folder with the name of the missing folder.
  4. Start the Security Server Master Service:
    1. Click Start > Run.
    2. On the open field, type services.msc and then click OK.
    3. Right-click Security Server Master Service and select Start.
  5. Log in to the console and perform a manual update.
