Trend Vision One updates the API version when there are major changes in APIs and if they are not backward compatible. You can find the API version in Automation Center > API Reference.

Trend Micro will follow the below policies to deprecate legacy Trend Vision One Public API version because API users need to migrate to the latest version from legacy one:

  • Keep at least the last two (2) API major versions.
  • Deprecated APIs will continue to function but could be removed at some point in the future. To give you more time to update applications, deprecated APIs remain online for at most 12 months before they are completely removed. You can find information about deprecated APIs in Automation Center > Change Log.
  • Deprecated tags and the description leading to the latest version APIs will be added for the target APIs on Automation Center after their retirement announcement.
  • Legacy APIs will be removed from Automation Center after their retirement date.

Trend Micro recommends users to stop using deprecated APIs immediately. Although some APIs continue to be backward-compatible, you may encounter unexpected or unwanted behavior. Avoid using such APIs in the new code and if possible, rewrite the old code to exclude them.
