ServerProtect For Storage All
It has been reported that if a Windows has both Server Protect as well as Windows ATP running, it may cause Server Protect NS service to become unresponsive.
This issue can be encountered when NS deploy engine fails. Tmudump.log on NS shows deployment failure as NS service start fails. When stopping NS service from services panel, the following error would occur:
"Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion."
In the application event log:
"ServerProtect service can not be started! Return code: 258"
In the system event log, Event 7024 is reported:
"The Trend ServerProtect service terminated with the following service-specific error: The wait operation timed out."
Several cases have been found which have similar phenomenon as above. It is because some of the ServerProtect scan threads would hang when Windows ATP service is running.
