Summary

If the agent in the Cloud One - Application Security Console shows as inactive (grey), a possible cause is authentication failure because the agent is not multi-region aware.

You need to add the configuration parameter, hello_url for the agent to report back to the Application Security Console.

Check the trend_app_protect.log for the output. A sample output below can be seen if the hello_url is not yet configured for agents that are not multi-region aware.

Check your account region code under Account Settings in Cloud One - Administration > Account Settings page. The format of hello_url is " https://agents.<region code>.application.cloudone.trendmicro.com/". You can add the hello_url on your configuration file as seen on the following screenshot:

You can also add the hello_url as an environment variable. For environment variables, the format will be "TREND_AP_HELLO_URL = https://agents.<region code>.application.cloudone.trendmicro.com/"
