Summary
Based on the Deep Security Release Life Cycle and support policy, the end of support date for Deep Security 10.x Feature Release Agents is November 22, 2018.
We have received feedback from customers that the in-product experience does not allow customers to adequately control their intent to commit to the Major Release or Feature Release support policy when deploying agents. In response, we will be extending the end of support date for Deep Security 10.x Feature Release Agents from November 22, 2018 to November 22, 2019.
The primary purpose of this extension is to give customers abundant time to upgrade agents from version 10.x Feature Release Agents to the next Major Release Agent. It is not our intention to provide agent updates or new releases of the 10.x Feature Release Agents as part of this support extension.
This extension includes continued support for kernel updates for customers using the 10.x Feature Release Agents until November 22, 2019.
For support cases wherein an agent fix is required (which in turn requires the agent to be upgraded), we may choose to deliver the agent fix using the version 11.0 Major Release Agent. This approach is necessary because there is no supported upgrade path from a 10.x Feature Release Agent to a 10.0 Major Release Agent. Therefore, customers that are currently using 10.x Feature Release Agents who want to leverage the major release support policy, an upgrade to the Major Release Agents (version 11.0, or 12.0 when it becomes available) is the upgrade path available to meet this goal.
