Windows Action Center prompts the following message for PCCNTMON.exe:
"Do you want to run this app? You should only run apps that come from publishers you trust"

This pop-up error appears whenever you:
- Install an Apex One or OfficeScan agent
- Update the agent
- Restart or boot up a machine.
A callback process for PCCNTMON.exe is automatically registered to the Windows Action Center. The purpose of this is for the Apex One/OfficeScan agent to be able to send its information to the Windows Action Center. This also allows the Windows Action Center to notify the Apex One/OfficeScan agent to perform different tasks related to the protection of the client machine.
When users take action in the Windows Action Center that launches a third-party application, Windows Action Center prompts the user to confirm that they trust the application. This happens regardless of the status of the digital certificate(s) associated with the application.
It is safe to run PCCNTMON.exe as it is digitally signed by Trend Micro. If you ignore or cancel the prompt, the Apex One/OfficeScan agent will still attempt to automatically update its content in the background.
