Due to Windows 10 higher resource requirements and additional security advances inside of the core sandboxing engine, CPU and memory required by Virtual Analyzer images are much higher.
Recent hardware such as DDAN 1100/1200 (Dell R730/R740) models are able to meet the demand of the latest product update. However, older models such as DDAN 1000 (Dell R720) does not have the processing power to keep up with the latest product update.
Software upgrade to DDAN version 6.9 or higher will not be supported with the following DDAN hardware model:
- DDAN 1000 (Dell R720)
- Hardware specification that is same or lower than DDAN 1000 (Dell R720)
To determine the DDAN hardware model, do the following:
- Open DDAN console.
- Go to Help > About.
If the DDAN hardware model is not available in About page, do the following:
- Open the DDAN console.
- Go to Virtual Analyzer > Sandbox management > Images. Check if the maximum instance number is <=33. If yes, the hardware is similar to DDAN 1000.
Customers who do not wish to update their hardware can keep using DDAN 1000 running version 6.8 which will be sustained until notified.
