The Apex One Server Vulnerability Protection debug log "ivp_server0.log", which is located at ..\Program Files..\Trend Micro\Apex One\iServiceSrv\iVP\.. by default, shows the following:
SEVERE: Failed to start iVP server. com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: The TCP/IP connection to the host localhost, port 1433 has failed. Error: "Connection refused: connect. Verify the connection properties. Make sure that an instance of SQL Server is running on the host and accepting TCP/IP connections at the port. Make sure that TCP connections to the port are not blocked by a firewall.".
Refer to the following recommended actions:
- Check SQL Server Configuration Manager > SQL Server Network Configuration.
- Ensure the TCP/IP protocol is enabled. When it is disabled, Apex One Vulnerability Protection will not be activated.
Please note that Apex One Application Control and Endpoint Sensor services are not affected by this setting.
