Follow the procedures below to migrate your standalone products to the extended Apex One features:

Server-side

  1. Install Apex One Server and Apex Central.
  2. Register Apex One to Apex Central.
  3. Input the Endpoint Application Control License on Apex Central (if not using the Apex One Full-feature key).
  4. Log in to Apex Central.
  5. Go to Administration > License Management > Managed Products.
  6. Click Add and Deploy.
  7. Enter the Endpoint Application Control license key and point it to the Apex One server.
  8. Recreate the policies in Endpoint Application Control to Apex One Application Control.
  9. Deploy the policy to the Apex One agents.
  10. Once successful, uninstall Endpoint Application Control.

Endpoint-side

Apex One Application Control supports automatic uninstall of the Endpoint Application Control agent by enabling the policy from Apex Central.

Administrators can also opt for manual uninstall of the Endpoint Application Control agent.

Server-side

  1. Uninstall Standalone Endpoint Sensor server.
  2. Prepare SQL Server 2016 SP1 (Standard/Enterprise only) or higher with Full-Text and Semantic Extractions for Search features enabled.
  3. Install Apex One Server and Apex One Central.
  4. Input Endpoint Sensor License on Apex Central.

Endpoint-side

  1. Uninstall Standalone Endpoint Sensor agent via uninstallation package.

By default, the uninstallation package is located in the folder "C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\Trend Micro Endpoint Sensor\Download\Agent\EndpointSensor_Uninstall.exe" on the Standalone Endpoint Sensor server.

Please confirm the version of the Standalone Endpoint Sensor agent you are using. The uninstall package has been changed since Standalone Endpoint Sensor 1.6 Update 5. 5. Recreate Vulnerability Protection Firewall policies under Apex One Firewall Settings.
  6. Deploy a Vulnerbility Protection Policy.
  7. Uninstall the Vulnerability Protection Manager.
