Cloud One File Storage Security includes the following modules which, when enabled, will cause the corresponding data to be transmitted to Trend Micro.

Dashboard

When a security event occurs, information about the event is transferred to Trend Micro.

File Storage Security, by design, does not collect personal information.

Depending on the nature of the protected environment and the object that is the target of the security event (for example, bucket and files) there is a risk that personal information may be collected within a security event.

The default event retention period for File Storage Security is 32 days.

  • Scanned File Name
  • Scanned File Size
Console locationThis information is stored in File Storage Security and is used for providing security event information. It cannot be configured or disabled by customer.

Stack Management

File Storage Security is deployed using AWS CloudFormation stacks. One to three stacks will be deployed depending on the solution selected. The collected information is stored in File Storage Security and is used for managing stacks.

This information is stored in File Storage Security and is used for troubleshooting and monitoring. Collection of this information cannot be configured or disabled.

File Scanning

This information is sent to Trend Micro Global Smart Scan Server when a file scan occurs and enables File Storage Security to identifies malicious file hashes.

In the smart scan solution, clients send file hashes determined by Trend Micro technology to Smart Scan Servers. Clients never send the entire file and the risk of the file is determined using the file hashes.
