Summary

Trend Micro Vision One collects and correlates deep activity data across multiple vectors - email, endpoints, servers, cloud workloads, and networks. This enables a level of detection and investigation that is difficult or impossible to achieve with SIEM or individual point solutions. With Complimentary Credits, eligible (first-time) users can allocate the credits to enable the XDR sensors or apps they desire. Trial users will receive a 28,000 credit allowance valid for 60 days. See Introducing Credit-based Licensing for more information.

Who will receive the Trend Micro Vision One promotion?

  • Customers who already got Complimentary XDR licenses are not eligible to get Complimentary Credits
  • Customers who already have an EDR/XDR/Vision One trial license are not eligible.
  • Customers who have already purchased one or more EDR/XDR/Vision One licenses are not eligible at this time
  • Trend Micro Vision One is an enterprise solution generally targeted to organizations with above 500 users

What will I see in Apex One as a Service?

    • Only the Admin (i.e. user account belongs to Administrators / Administrator_and_DLP_Compliance_Officer group) will see this pop-up.
    • If the Trend Micro Vision One promotion pop-up has been displayed before, the Admin user can re-open the promotion pop-up by clicking the button on the promotion notification bar.
     

How do I proceed with the onboarding process?

  1. Click Check if I'm affected, using Trend Micro Vision One to redirect to the Trend Micro Vision One Onboarding Portal.
  2. Users can easily log into the Trend Micro Vision One Onboarding portal by SSO if they log into Apex Central with a CLP account.
  3. Once users log into the Trend Micro Vision One Onboarding portal, it will prompt the Trend Micro Vision One tutorial.
  4. Once users are on-boarded, the promotion notification bar will prompt different message. Click Open Console.

If I would like to use Trend Micro Vision One on more agents, how do I migrate to paid license?

  1. You need to purchase “XDR : Endpoint & Server”, "XDR for Users" or "Apex One SaaS + XDR" license bundles or "Vision One Credits".
  2. Once this license is activated from CLP, you can enable more endpoint sensor on endpoints through the Endpoint Inventory App on the Trend Micro Vision One portal.

How do I activate the Trend Micro Vision One license when I buy through Vision One Credits?

  1. Upon Vision One credits purchased, you will receive a confirmation email with an activation URL.
  2. You will be redirected to the Trend Micro Activation Service and will require to sign in or create a Trend Micro account.
  3. Once signed in, you will see the summary of all your purchased credits.
  4. After the license agreement is accepted, wait for the "Activation Successful" message to appear.
  5. You will be taken directly to the Vision One console, where you can enable the sensors/apps as desired.

What are the things to consider when deploying XDR Endpoint Sensor?

  1. The security agent should be upgraded to build 14.0.0.8509 or later version
  2. Check XDR Sensor System Requirements

Apex One On-Premise

Who will receive the Trend Micro Vision One promotion?

  • Customers who have valid EPP License which is not expired or still within grace period.
  • Customers with Apex One Patch 8378 or later version.
  • Customers who already got Complimentary XDR licenses are not eligible to get Complimentary Credits
  • Customers who already have an EDR/XDR/Vision One trial license are not eligible.
  • Customers who have already purchased one or more EDR/XDR/Vision One licenses are not eligible at this time
  • Trend Micro Vision One is an enterprise solution generally targeted to organizations with above 500 users

How do I enable Complimentary Credits on Apex One On-Premise?

  1. Apply the latest Apex One Patch (Build 8358 or later version).
  2. Accept "Enhanced Support Service" here or accept it in a later step.

  3. The blue promotion banner will appear (controlled by backend). Click More Details.

On-premise agent detection logs will not be forwarded to Trend Micro Vision One.
 

Deep Security (On-premise)

Who will receive the Trend Micro Vision One promotion?

  • Customers with valid DS License which is not expired or still within in grace period.
  • Customers with Deep Security On-Premise 20 LTS Update 2020-10-19 (20.0.198) or later version.
  • Customers who already got Complimentary XDR licenses are not eligible to get Complimentary Credits
  • Customers who already have an XDR/Vision One trial license are not eligible.
  • Customers who have already purchased one or more XDR/Vision One licenses are not eligible at this time

What will I see in Deep Security Manager?

  • Users will be redirected to the Trend Micro Vision One log-in page after clicking Open Console.

How should I proceed with the onboarding process?

  1. Clicking Check if I'm affected, using Trend Micro Vision One will redirect users to the Trend Micro Vision One onboarding portal.
  2. The Trend Micro Vision One portal will guide users on how to create a Trend Micro account to experience Trend Micro Vision One.

    • If there is no Trend Micro account related to this DS activation code, the service will redirect users to the page to create a Trend Micro account.

      no TM account

    • If there is any Trend Micro account related to this DS activation code, the service will redirect users to the Sign in page.

    Once users log in to the Trend Micro Vision One Onboarding portal, it will bring them to the Early Warning App page.
