Single box support policy for Apex One and Apex Central

Summary

In previous versions of Control Manager and OfficeScan, installing both product on the same server (i.e. single box scenario) is supported.

However, this support policy has been revised in their succeeding products (i.e. Apex Central and Apex One).

  • For a brand new setup (i.e. fresh installation), Apex One and Apex Central no longer supports the single box scenario.
  • For an upgrade case, the single box scenario is supported with the following exceptions:
    • If you also enabled Endpoint Sensor/Application Control/Vulnerability Protection, the single box scenario is not supported.
    • If you only use Apex One Endpoint Protection features (i.e. features in OfficeScan), the single box scenario is supported but it’s suggested to upgrade server specifications.
