Banner message for Ryuk awareness on OfficeScan XG SP1 and Apex One SaaS web console

Summary

To bring up customer awareness of ransomware campaign (Ryuk), OfficeScan XG SP1 and Apex One SaaS / On premise will display a banner message on web console:

  • OfficeScan XG SP1

  • Apex One SaaS / On-premise

    Apex One SaaS and On-premise

Once customer clicked “More Information” button, it will redirect to https://success.trendmicro.com/assessmentwizard for further evaluation process.

Only OfficeScan XG SP1 and Apex One (SaaS/On-premise) English version will have this message displayed.

The banner message will be published on Nov. 26, 2020

  1. Once the customer clicked More Information and opened https://success.trendmicro.com/assessmentwizard, it will require a BSP account login first:

  2. It would guide the customer on how to retrieve the server GUID for further query.

  3. It will ask the customer to input the server GUID to query the SPN data. If the customer has not enabled SPN feedback, it will only display general tips:

  4. If GUID belongs to this customer and the SPN data matched, it will prompt matched entries for customer to follow up. Customers may also create a case to contact Trend Micro Technical Support for further assistance. Here’s an example:
