Trend Micro has received reports of Apex One as a Service Security Agents generating a high number of Web Reputation Service (WRS) detection logs after receiving the January 20, Batch 1 updates. The root cause has been identified to be an incorrect web reputation score calculated on potential phishing sites.

Trend Micro will deploy the fix for all provisions on January 27, 2021 maintenance schedule (Both Batch 1 and Batch 2 provisions will receive this fix).

Recommendations

  • Users who have not yet deployed the January updates for their Apex One Security Agents are advised to postpone their deployment until after receiving the January 27 update maintenance.
  • Users that are experiencing this issue may also contact Trend Micro Technical Support for urgent patching as needed prior to the January 27 maintenance.
