As a security feature in OfficeScan, the Management Console will time out by default when there is no activity within the console after 30 minutes.

To resolve the issue, increase the duration:

 
For OSCE 11.0/XG, this setting can be configured via the following menu path in the web console: Administration > Settings > Web console > Time Out Settings.
  1. Open the ofcscan.ini file located under the \PCCSRV\ folder using a text editor.
  2. Locate the Cookie_Expire_Period parameter and increase its value.
     
    The setting is set by minutes.
  3. Save the changes.
  4. Restart the Web Server where OfficeScan is installed on top.
    • If you are using Microsoft IIS:
      • Restart the IIS Web Server via the command prompt:
        1. Click Start > Run
        2. Enter cmd.
        3. Enter the command IISRESET
      • Restart the IIS Web Server via the Microsoft Services Applet.
    • If you are using Apache Web Server, restart the Apache2 service via the Microsoft Services Applet.
  5. Restart the OSCE Master Service on the server.
  6. Clear the History, Cache and Cookies from your browser.
  7. Log in to the OfficeScan Management Console.
