Smconf.nsf template is incomplete after installing the ScanMail for Domino (SMD) configuration database

Summary
The smconf.nsf template is incomplete upon installation of the SMD configuration database.
Even after recreating the smconf.nsf database from the template, the resulting database has one field missing.
When you go to the Configuration and click Policies the template file doesn't show in smconf.ntf.

To resolve the issue, do the following:
  1. Go to the Administration section on the left side of smconf.nsf.
  2. Select the Access Control section.
  3. Make sure that the new user or group is added in this section.
  4. Check if the same account in Step 3 has View Policies enabled.
  5. Click the Save and Close button.
  6. Apply the changes to ACL by clicking Apply Settings to ACL.
