Administrators can use the Reset Date to Rescan All Documents option to make sure that SMD scans all the documents if the settings of the Manual or Scheduled Database Scan are changed.
This option applies to manual or scheduled database scanning with incremental scan enabled. The date that will be reset is the date since the last scan. When the last incremental scan date is reset, ScanMail will scan all documents.
Do the following:
- Open the log database through the Configuration Database > Log Database menu or through the smvlog.nsf.
- Click Statistics > Database Scan History.
- Select an item from the work area and then click the Reset Date to Rescan All Documents option.
- To scan all the documents based on scan and filter settings, run a manual scan or wait for the succeeding scheduled scan.
