Summary

Use this procedure if your Information Server (IS) suffered from a hard drive failure that you can no longer recover all the data. This can also restore the domain structure of all the Normal Servers reporting to the IS.

Do the following:

  1. Install a new IS on a server with the same hostname and IP address.
  2. When the IS is complete, restart the Trend ServerProtect service on all the Normal Servers that report to the damaged IS.

The Normal Servers should now be available in the management console.

We recommend running backups on the IS. You can do this through the Backup IS Data feature in the management console.
