Uninstalling InterScan Messaging Security Suite (IMSS) for Linux components

Remove the IMSS for Linux application via installation package menu.

Below are the IMSS components:

  • PostgreSQL database
  • Installation logs
  • Files created by the IMSS processes, like backup copies of the config files, queues, etc.

To uninstall the Central Controller, Scanners, and EUQ components separately or simultaneously:

  1. Log in as a superuser.
  2. Go to the installation package directory and execute the command "./isinst.sh".
    The Main Menu shows the status of the components.
  3. Press 2.
    The uninstallation menu displays which component will be removed. By default, the uninstallation status for each component is set to [NO].
  4. To remove the component, press the corresponding number and then press Y to change the uninstall status to [YES].
  5. Press 4 to remove the components.
