Manually installing services that are missing on InterScan Messaging Security Suite (IMSS) console

After installing IMSS, you notice that not all the services are installed.

To install the services:

  1. Open the command prompt.
  2. Go to the Program Files\Trend Micro\IMSS\bin folder.
  3. Run the following command for each service:
     
    All services must be set to "Automatic" Startup Type.
    • TrendMicro IMSS Task Services

      imsstasks.exe -install

    • TrendMicro IMSS Manager

      imssmgr.exe -install

    • TrendMicro IMSS Scan Service

      IMSSService.exe -install

    • TrendMicro IMSS Policy Service

      imssps.exe -install

    • TrendMicro IMSS CMAgent Service

      imsscmagent.exe -install

    • TrendMicro IMSS SMTP Service

      tsmtpd.exe --install-auto

    • TrendMicro IMSS IPProfiler

      foxdns.exe -install

  4. Go to Program Files\Trend Micro\IMSS\ui\adminUI\bin folder and run the following to install IMSS web console:

    imssService.bat install

  5. Confirm that the IMSS console is now accessible.

If you encounter an error when following the procedure, download and run the CDT utility. Collect and submit the log to Trend Micro Technical Support.
