Summary

Client Packager creates an installation package that you can send to users using conventional media such as CD-ROM. Users run the package on the client computer to install or upgrade the OfficeScan client and update components. Aside from executing the Clnpack.exe, a client package can also be created using command line.

This article discusses steps in creating a package using this method.

To create a package using command line:

  1. On the OfficeScan server computer, open the command prompt.
  2. Go to the <Server installation folder>\PCCSRV\Admin\Utility\ClientPackager folder

    For EXE package:
    clnpack.exe /i /o x86 /s "<Server installation folder>\PCCSRV" /d  <target folder>\<package-name>.exe

    For MSI package:
    clnpack.exe /m /o x86 /s "<Server installation folder>\PCCSRV" /d <target folder>\<package-name>.msi

    "/o x86" means creating a client installation package for 32-bit OS. For 64-bit OS, use "/o x64".

    Where:

<Server installation folder> is the folder where the OfficeScan Server is installed
<target folder> is the directory where the package will be saved
<package-name> is the name of the package that will be created
