The following error message appears when trying to install the OfficeScan Plug-in Manager:
Trend Micro Plug-in Manager can only be installed locally on a computer with OfficeScan server 10.0/10.5 or above. Remote installation is not supported.
To resolve this issue:
- Open the Registry Editor.
Always back up the whole registry before making any modifications. Incorrect changes to the registry can cause serious system problems.
- For 32-bit OS, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\TrendMicro\OfficeScan\service\Information
For 64-bit OS, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\TrendMicro\OfficeScan\service\Information.
- Add the following key:
Value Data: 18.104.22.168
- Close the Registry Editor.
- Try installing the OfficeScan Plug-in Manager again.
