You are unable to get past the login page of the WFBS console. You encounter a dialog box saying you need to install ActiveX, however there is no ActiveX installation prompting.
To resolve the issue, unregister and re-register ActiveX:
- Open ..\Program Files\Trend Micro\Security Server\PCCSRV\Web_console\HTML.
- Look for the following files:
- AtxEnc.dll
- AtxConsole.ocx
- AtxPie.dll
- AtxSmexInst.ocx
- Open a command prompt window.
- Change the directory to ..\Program Files\Trend Micro\Security Server\PCCSRV\Web_console\HTML.
- Unregister the existing files in Step 2 using the following command:
regsvr32 /u
For example, to unregister AtxEnc.dll, type the command "regsvr32 /u AtxEnc.dll", and then press ENTER.
- Open ..\Program Files\Trend Micro\Security Server\PCCSRV\Web_console\HTML.
- Extract the following files to the same directory:
- AtxEnc.cab
- AtxConsole.cab
- AtxPie.cab
- AtxSmexInst.cab
To extract the file *.cab files:
- Double-click the *.cab file.
- Double click the *.ocx or *.dll file.
- Browse the location where to extract the file.
- Click Extract.
If Windows prompts you to overwrite the file, click Yes. - Open a command prompt window.
- Change the directory to ..\Program Files\Trend Micro\Security Server\PCCSRV\Web_console\HTML.
- Register the files in Step 2 using the command "regsvr32".
For example, to register AtxEnc.dll, type the command "regsvr32 AtxEnc.dll", and then press ENTER.
- Log in to the WFBS console.
If the issue persists, restart the computer and then log on again.
- Click Start > Run.
- Type "\\server's name or IP address\ofcscan\Web_console\HTML", and then press ENTER.
- Copy the following files to ..\Trend Micro\Client Server Security Agent:
- AtxEnc.dll
- AtxConsole.ocx
- AtxPie.dll
- AtxSmexInst.ocx
- Open a command prompt window.
- Change the directory to ..\Trend Micro\Client Server Security Agent.
- Unregister existing files in Step 3 using the command "regsvr32 /u".
For example, to unregister AtxEnc.dll, type the command "regsvr32 /u AtxEnc.dll", and then press ENTER.
- Type "\\server's name or IP address\ofcscan\Web_console\HTML", and then press ENTER.
- Copy the following files:
- AtxEnc.cab
- AtxConsole.cabAtxPie.cab
- AtxSmexInst.cab
- Extract the files to ..\Trend Micro\Client Server Security Agent. To extract the file *.cab files:
- Double-click the *.cab file.
- Double click the *.ocx or *.dll file.
- Browse the location where to extract the file.
- Click Extract.
If Windows prompts you to overwrite the file, click Yes. - Open a command prompt window.
- Change the directory to ..\Trend Micro\Client Server Security Agent.
- Register the files in Step 3 using the command "regsvr32".
For example, to register AtxEnc.dll, type the command "regsvr32 AtxEnc.dll", and then press ENTER. - Log in to the WFBS console.
If the issue persists, restart the computer and then log in again.
