Summary
Know why it is important that a managed domain is tied to an activation code. The article also tells you how to identify which activation code is associated to a managed domain in HES/HES - Inbound Filtering.
Details
It is important that a managed domain is tied to an activation code. Otherwise, the following cases may happen:
- You cannot save IP Reputation Setting changes.
- You cannot add a new managed domain under your account.
Ideally, all HES/HES - Inbound Filtering managed domains should be associated with an activation code. Due to some manual processes, however, some HES/HES - Inbound Filtering managed domains are not associated with an activation code.
Below are possible causes why this occurs:
- The account was provisioned manually.
- The domain was added manually (not via the HES console).
Do the following:
- Go to the Customer Licensing Portal.
- Log on using your CLP username and password.
- Under My Products, check your most recent HES/HES - Inbound Filtering activation code.
If you are not logging on to HES / HES - Inbound Filtering using your OLR username and password, contact HES/HES - Inbound Filtering Support for assistance.
