To reset password for client users:
- Go to the password reset page.
- Enter your email address and a new password.
- Click Request Reset. A confirmation email will be sent to validate the requested email address.
- Follow the link in the confirmation email.
- Re-enter the new password.
- Click Confirm Reset.
- Answer all the security questions. If you cannot remember all of the answers, submit this form three times to delay the password reset.
- Click Proceed.
- Right-click the system tray tool icon and select Check for Updates to re-sync the client password.
To reset password for Zero Download users:
- Go to the password reset page using any of the following:.
By Account verfication:
- Open an encrypted message.
- Click Open My Email.
- Enter your email address and click Continue.
- Click Forgot password or answerson the account verification page.
By MyPrivatePost page:
- Go to the MyPrivatePost login page.
- Click Forgot My Password.
- Enter your email address and a new password.
- Click Request Reset. A confirmation email will be sent to validate the requested email address.
- Follow the link in the confirmation email.
- Re-enter the new password.
- Click Confirm Reset.
- Answer all the security questions. If you cannot remember all of the answers, submit this form three times to delay the password reset.
- Click Proceed.
Details about auto-cancellation of pending password resets:
- Auto-cancel timer 1: The password reset request is automatically cancelled after one (1) day when the server sends a confirmation email and one of the following happens:
- The user did not receive a confirmation email.
- The user received it but did not click the link in the email.
- Auto-cancel timer 2: The password reset request is automatically cancelled after one (1) day when the user follows the link in the confirmation email but one of the following happens:
- The user did not re-enter the new password and clicked the Confirm Reset button.
- The user provided no answer or wrong security question answers and clicked Proceed once or twice, and did not click again for the third time.
- Auto-cancel timer 3: The password reset request is automatically cancelled after three (3) days when the system sends the final confirmation email and one of the following occurs:
- The user did not receive the final confirmation email.
- The user did not click the link in the email.
