Upgrading ServerProtect 5.58 to version 5.8 using Deploy Now

This article provides information on how you can use the program deployment method to upgrade SPNT 5.58 to version 5.8.

Important: Program deployment is only applicable for version 5.58. SPNT 5.7 does not support this method.

To deploy the new 5.8 version to old 5.58 Normal Servers:
  1. Log on to the management console of the newly-installed or migrated SPNT 5.8 Information Server. To know more about uprading Serverprotect to version 5.8, refer to Chapter 4 of Serverprotect 5.8 Getting Started Guide.
  2. Go to Update > Update > Deploy Now.
  3. Select the target SPNT 5.58 Normal Server and then tick the Server Protect program check box.
  4. Click Deploy.
  5. Restart the SPNTSVC service to upgrade the Normal Server to the new version.
