The solution listed here describes the isolation steps needed to correct this web console behavior.
For Internet Explorer 7 or below
- Open Internet Explorer.
- Go to Tools > Internet Options.
- Click the General tab.
- Under Temporary Internet Files, click Settings tab.
- Click the View Objects tab.
- On the Downloaded Program Files window, right-click each Program File and go to Properties.
- For each program file that shows "Trend Micro" in the Company field, right-click the file and select Remove.
- Delete cookies and Temporary Internet Files.
- Log on to the WFBS console.
For Internet Explorer 8 and above
- Open Internet Explorer
- Go to Tools > Internet Options.
- Under General tab > Browsing History, click Settings.
- Click View Objects icon.
- On the Downloaded Program Files window, verify if the files are from Trend Micro. Do the following:
- Right-click a file, and select Properties.
- On the Properties window, go to the Details tab, and check if it shows "Trend Micro" in the Copyright field.
- Delete the files that are from Trend Micro.
- Delete cookies and Temporary Internet Files.
- Log on to the WFBS console.
- Open a command prompt, and then go to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\Security Server\PCCSRV\Web_console\HTML.
- Look for these files:
- AtxEnc.dll
- AtxConsole.ocx
- AtxPie.dll
- AtxSmexInst.ocx
- Unregister all the files above that you find using the command "regsvr32 /u"
Example: To unregister AtxEnc.dll, type the command “regsvr32 /u AtxEnc.dll”, then press Enter.
- Go to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\Security Server\PCCSRV.
- Look for the files indicated in Step 2, then repeat Step 3 for each file you find.
- Open Windows Explorer, and then go to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\Security Server\PCCSRV\Web_console\HTML.
- Extract these CAB files to the same directory.
Click Yes if Windows prompts you to overwrite the file.- AtxEnc.cab
- AtxConsole.cab
- AtxPie.cab
- AtxSmexInst.cab
- Using the command prompt, go to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\Security Server\PCCSRV\Web_console\HTML.
- Register the files indicated in Step 2 using the command "regsvr32"
Example: To register AtxEnc.dll, type the command: 'regsvr32 AtxEnc.dll', then press Enter.
- Log on to the WFBS console.
If the issue persists, restart the machine and log in again.
