Blocking an email address or domain in Hosted Email Security (HES)

This article tells you how you can block a particular domain or email address from sending mail to your domain.

To block a domain or email address, do either of the following:

  1. Go to Inbound Protection > Blocked Senders.

  2. Add the specific email address or the entire domain.

    Valid formats:
    *@example.com
    *@server.example.com
    *@*.example.com

    Invalid formats:
    *@*
    *@* .com
    name@*.example.com

  1. Log on to the HES console.
  2. Go to Inbound Protection > Policy.
  3. Click Add.

  4. On the Basic Information tab, enter the name of the policy on the Name field.

  5. On the Recipients and Senders tab, under the Recipients section, add your managed domain(s).

  6. Go to the Scanning Criteria tab then select No Criteria.

  7. Go to the Actions tab. Under the Intercept section, select Delete entire message.

  8. Click Submit

  9. A pop-up window will appear. Click OK.
