Enabling debugging and exporting logs in Threat Discovery Appliance (TDA)

Summary
This article provides the steps for performing debugging in TDA and exporting the said debug files.  This is important for TDA customers encountering technical issues with the product and would like to escalate to Trend Micro Technical Support for assistance.

Please do the following:
  1. Log in to https://IP address of TDA/cgi-bin/cgiSetDebugLog.cgi.
  2. In the Debug Level and Module Settings Menu, set the DebugLevel to "4".
  3. Set the DebugModule ID to "all".
  4. Click Save.
Replicate the issue encountered.
  1. Go back to https://IP address of TDA/cgi-bin/cgiSetDebugLog.cgi.
  2. Under the Debug Log Export section, select all the options including Export System Log Database/Export Threat Log Database/Export DebugLog/Export Configuration.
  3. Click the Export button. The logs will be exported from TDA. A prompt to save the debug_log.tgz file to the local machine will appear.
  4. Save the file(s).
