To move the TMSM database to a different location on the same machine:

  1. Detach the database.
    1. Download and install Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio Express.
    2. Stop the following services (in order):
      1. OfficeScan Plug-in Manager
      2. Trend Micro Security (for Mac)
      3. ActiveMQ for Trend Micro Security
    3. In SQL Server Management Studio Object Explorer, connect to the instance of the SQL Server Database Engine and then expand the instance. In this case, it is (local)\TMSM. For authentication, use Windows Authentication.
    4. Right-click the database name, point to Tasks, and then click Detach. The Detach Database dialog box appears.
    5. When you are ready to detach the database, click OK.
  2. Move the database files.
    1. Browse to the LDF/MDF files. Usually, this is located in C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\Data.
    2. Move the LDF/MDF files to the location of your choice. This could be a different drive, or a different directory.
  3. Attach the database.
    1. Right-click Databases and click Attach.
    2. In the Attach Databases dialog box, to specify the database to be attached, click Add.
    3. In the Locate Database Files dialog box, select the disk drive where the database resides and expand the directory tree to find and select the .mdf file of the database
    4. When you are ready to attach the database, click OK.
    5. Start the following services (in order):
      1. OfficeScan Plug-in Manager
      2. Trend Micro Security (for Mac)
      3. ActiveMQ for Trend Micro Security

After doing this procedure, you should be able to access the TMSM server console normally.
