Cannot completely uninstall Full Disk Encryption (FDE)

Summary
Uninstalling Endpoint Encryption FDE does not completely remove the program. This issue affects machines that are upgraded to version 3.0.7.2.

To resolve the issue:
  1. Go to the C:\Program Files\Endpoint Encryption\Full Disk Encryption folder and run the ArmorUninstall.exe program.
  2. Run the following command:
    msiexec /x{8ACDBD28-C2FD-4334-98CF-F561D1BE9AD8}
    For SP3+ Installs run "msiexec /x{17BACE08-76BD-4FF5-9A06-5F2FA9EBDDEA}".
  3. Reboot the machine.
If the FDE is still not completely removed:
  1. Open the Registry Editor.
    Important: Always back up the whole registry before making any modifications. Incorrect changes to the registry can cause serious system problems.
  2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and delete the following string values:
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\MABackFile.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\actlsrv.exe
  3. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Services and delete the following folders:
    MABFCSVC
    MobileSentinel
  4. Close the Registry Editor.
  5. Click Start > Run, and then enter "services.msc".
  6. Stop the following services:
    MABFCSVC
    MobileSentinel
  7. Open the Task Manager and stop the Actlsrv.exe process.
  8. Delete the following files:
    • C:\WINDOWS\system32\ >> All .xml files beginning with DA
    • C:\WINDOWS\system32\MobileSentinel.exe
    • C:\WINDOWS\system32\actlsrv.exe
    • C:\WINDOWS\system32\mascmon.exe
    • C:\WINDOWS\system32\MABackFile.exe
    • C:\WINDOWS\system32\mobilesentinel.InstallState
    • C:\MAKernel (Hidden System File)
    • C:\DAClientUnInstall.log
  9. Reboot to a Windows XP CD or any other boot method where you can restore the Windows MBR.
