Summary
When a device is missing and you do not want to issue a kill command, you can use the Device Lock to prevent a user from being authenticated on the device. The authentication is prevented until a successful Remote Help to the selected device is performed.
Details
The Device Lock command is issued when the device communicates with the PolicyServer. This function reboots the device and requires Remote Help.
To use the Device Lock command:
- On the PolicyServer, open the target group to show all icons.
- Click Devices.
- Right-click the target device and select Lock Device.
- Click Yes to require the user to be authenticated to the device using Remote Help.
A notification should appear stating that the device will be locked.
