Summary
Know why files in a paired folder cannot be synchronized to the local side unless paired.
Details
Public
All the files on the SafeSync server are copied to the Trend Micro SafeSync folder on your computer by default.
If you want to sync a folder from the server to your computer, you need to pair it to a local folder.
Note: Paired folders cannot be synced to the SafeSync folder.
Do any of the following:
  • If you want to synchronize the files on the online storage to your computer, then pair the paired remote folder with a local folder.
  • If you want to synchronize the local files to the server but do not want to sync them into the paired folder, just rename the local folder.
  • If you want to synchronize the local files to the server and do want to sync them into the paired folder, follow the steps below:
    1. Create a new folder outside of the SafeSync folder.
    2. Copy your files into it.
    3. Pair it with the remote folder.
