As with any USB storage device, it is very important to safely remove a KeyArmor device prior to unplugging it from your computer.
Important: As with any USB storage device, data and/or device corruption may occur if KeyArmor is improperly removed from a machine.
Training your end-users to follow your organization’s best practice guidelines related to safe removal of hardware is required prior to distribution of KeyArmor devices.
To safely remove an authenticated KeyArmor device from a PC, select Logout from either the KeyArmor interface (application window or right-click the tray) safely ejects the device. After logging out, KeyArmor will no longer be available from the Windows Safely remove hardware application. It is safe to remove the device from your PC’s USB port.
To safely remove an unauthenticated KeyArmor device, close the authentication dialog box before submitting credentials.
