Summary
Use this procedure when the Plug-in Manager cannot be reinstalled due to a corrupted uninstallation routine.
Details
To manually remove the Plug-in Manager:
- Uninstall any installed plug-ins via Control Manager > Add/Remove Programs.
- Stop the following services:
- Trend Micro Security Server Master Service
- Trend Micro Plug-in Manager Service
- Delete the Trend Micro Plug-in Manager Service.
- Go to Start > Run and type "sc delete ofcAosMgr".
- Press Enter.
- Delete the Plug-in Manager Extension from IIS.
- Go to the ..\PCCSRV folder and create a backup of the ..\private, ..\Web and ..\Web_SMB folders.
- Remove following files from the ..\PCCSRV\ folder.
- PluginManager_Readme.txt
- PLMConfTool.exe
- AosSrvUninstaller.exe
- Aos_OsceUpgradeDLL.dll
- Web_SMB\Web\CGI\isapiAoSDispatcher64.dll
- Web_SMB\Web\CGI\isapiAoSDispatcher.dll
- Web_SMB\Web_Console\CGI\cgiShowAoS.exe
- Web_SMB\Web_Console\HTML\Addon\*
Note: Change the aos_promotion.bak and aos_redirect.bak files to .htm files, but do NOT delete them.
- Web_SMB\Web_Console\HTML\AosHelp
- Web\Service\AoSShare.dll
- Web\Service\CmdHAoSMgr.dll
- Web\Service\InstSupport.dll
- Web\Service\OfcAoSMgr.exe
- Web\Service\resAoSSrvSystem.dll
- Private\AosBackup.txt
- Delete the following registry keys:
Important: Always create a backup before modifying the registry. Incorrect registry changes may cause serious issues. Should this occur, restore it by referring to the "Restoring the Registry" Help topic in Regedit.exe or the "Restoring a Registry Key" Help topic in Regedt32.exe.
- HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\OfficeScanCMAgent
- HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\OfcAoSMgr
- HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{5DB0ECA1-4C56-488B-9BF1-FB300D9E1F54}
- Restart the computer.
The Plug-in manager should have been removed at this point. - Reinstall the Plug-in Manager.
If the reinstallation still fails, provide the following to Trend Micro Technical Support:
- PLM_Setup.log
- System information in .nfo format
- screenshots of any error in .jpg format
- system and application event logs
