By default, all ServerProtect Normal Server events are recorded in the Windows event log. To exclude ServerProtect events from being written in the Windows event log, do the following:
  1. Open the Windows Event Viewer. Check the ServerProtect event logs and record the event ID numbers that you want to prevent from being written.
  2. Go to the ServerProtect Normal Server home directory (...\Sprotect (32bit) or ...\SProtect\x64 (64bit)), open the file spnsopt.dat. If the file does not exist, simply create a file named "spnsopt.dat" using a text editor.
  3. Add or modify the "ExcludeWindowEventID" parameter in the [OPTION] section. Separate the exclusion event ID with commas, like the one shown below. If you manually created the spnsopt.dat, add the entire [OPTION] section including the "ExcludeWindowEventID" line.
    [OPTION]
    ExcludeWindowEventID=id1,id2,id3.
    Example:
    [OPTION]
    ExcludeWindowEventID=2,10,12,13,15,16,18,77,83,84,85,212,220,221,301,302
    Note: You can add up to 32 ServerProtect Event IDs.
  4. Restart the Normal Server.
