Details
The Smart Card must meet the following requirements for Token Authentication compatibility:
Important: If the Smart Cards are using .NET tokens, Endpoint Encryption cannot support them. PCMCIA and serial readers are not supported.
- Smart Card must have at least 1 certificate.
- Smart Card must have Common Access Card (CAC), Personal Identity Verification (PIV), or Muscle applet.
Note: CAC is for Department of Defense users while PIV is for civilian users working for the Federal government.
