Know the changes in the Scan feature of Worry-Free Business Security (WFBS) 8.0 and learn how to configure it.
- Quarantine
- Deny Access (Real-time) / Pass (on-demand scan)
- Rename
- Delete
The Set action of Probable malware <action> to ActiveAction feature is disabled by default. This feature is available in Manual, Scheduled and Real-time scan.
To find and configure this:
- Open the WFBS management console.
- Go to Scans > Manual Scan or Scheduled Scan.
- Click the group name.
- Go to the Action tab.
- Under the Action tab, you can find it on the following settings:
- ActiveAction
- Customized action
- ActiveAction
When the Run Advance Cleanup feature is enabled, the Security Agent (SA) performs a FakeAV cleanup during the start of an on-demand scan.
To find and configure this feature:
- Open the WFBS management console.
- Go to Scans > Manual Scan or Scheduled Scan.
- Click the group name.
- On the Target tab, expand the Advanced Settings section.
- Under Damage Cleanup Services, you can now find the Run Advance Cleanup check box.
To locate registry key:
- Open the Registry Editor.
- Go to the following registry hive:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\TrendMicro\PC-cillinNTCorp\CurrentVersion\<On-Deman ScanType>\EnableAggressiveClean
The values are the following:- 0: No
- 1: Yes
- Default: No
After performing a scheduled scan, the Security Agent (SA) will automatically shut down the machine when the Shut down computer after completing scan feature is enabled.
To find and configure this:
- Open the the Security Agent (SA) console.
- Click Scan to run a manual scan.
- Mark Shut down computer after completing scan check box.
To locate the Registry key:
- Open the Registry Editor.
- Go to the following registry hive:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\TrendMicro\PC-cillinNTCorp\CurrentVersion\<PreScheduled Scan Configuration\PS_ScanShutDown
The values are the following:- 0: No
- 1: Yes
- Default: No
