Summary
Know how to correct the distorted code in the scan log and notifications of SMID when a file that has been compressed contains Asian characters.
Details
To fix the issue, consider first the following:
- The regional and character set where the compressed file has been created should be the same as the regional and character set where the Domino server is installed.
- The default character set of SMID should also be the same as the regional and the character set where the compressed file has been created.
To change the default character set of SMID:
- Open smconf.nsf.
- On the left menu, select Configuration > Server Settings.
- Under the Regional Option tab, choose the default character set you want to use.
