In Windows 8 or Windows Server 2012 running OfficeScan, the tmproxy (Web Reputation) module has been redesigned such that it would no longer use the legacy driver and process. This article shows the steps in enabling the Web Reputation log and debugging.
Do the following:
- Be in desktop mode.
- Open your explorer and make sure that the C:\temp folder is present.
If not, you have to create one. - Go to ..\Trend Micro\OfficeScan Client\.
- Edit the TmOsprey.ini file.

Set Enable to 1 (the default is Enable=0)
–[ServiceSession]
Set Enable to 1 (the default is Enable=0) - Unload the OfficeScan client. Right-click the OfficeScan icon and select Unload OfficeScan.
- Reload OfficeScan by doing either of the following:
- In desktop mode, go to ..\Trend Micro\OfficeScan Client\ and click Pccntmon.exe.
- Go to Windows 8 style UI mode and click the OfficeScan client icon.
You can find the log files at c:\temp\YYYY-MM-DD_HH-MM-SS_EE_TmOsprey1.etl.
