How to re-enter the activation code for Antivirus, Web Reputation & Anti-spyware and DCS

Summary

Re-enter the Activation Codes for Antivirus, Web Reputation and Anti-spyware, and Damage Cleanup Services for OSCE 10.x in order to reinitialize the AC_SERVICE value in the ofcscan.ini file.

Public

Do the following:

  1. Open the OSCE 10.6 web console.
  2. Go to Administration > Product License.
  3. Click New Activation Code.
  4. Enter the activation code and click Save.
  5. Close the console and reopen it.

If the issue persists, do the following:

 
Make sure to back up the PCCRSV, oscserver.ini, ofcscan.ini and HTTPDB files.
  1. If active, stop the "'OfficeScan Master Service" and "OfficeScan Control Manager Agent".
  2. Create backups of the following files:
    • PCCSRV\ofcscan.ini;
    • PCCRSV\Private\ofcserver.ini.
  3. Open PCCRSV\Private\ofcserver.ini in a text editor and remove the following configuration values:
    From the "INI_SERVICE_MODEL_SECTION" section:
    1. All "PR_AV*"parameters;
    2. "AC_AntiVirus" and "LF_AntiVirus" parameters;
    3. All "PR_DCS*" parameters;
    4. "AC_DCS" and "LF_DCS" parameters;
    5. All "PR_AS*"parameters;
    6. "AC_AntiSpyware" and "LF_AntiSpyware" parameters;

      Everything from the following sections:

      1. AV_LICENSE_INFO;
      2. DCS_LICENSE_INFO;
      3. AS_LICENSE_INFO.
  4. Start the "OfficeScan Master Service" and "OfficeScan Control Manager Agent" services.
  5. Log on to the OSCE server administration console;
  6. Open Administration > Product License and enter all the activation codes.
  7. Upon completion the AC_SERVICE value in the ofcscan.ini file should have the proper value in encrypted form.
