Summary
Install plug-ins from a local folder if an internet connection is not available on the OfficeScan (OSCE) server computer.
Details
To install the plug-in:
- Download the plug-in installation packages from another computer or copy the packages from another source to a folder on the C:\drive of the OfficeScan server computer.
For example, create a C:\pluginsfolder on the OfficeScan server computer. - Create Read/Write share permissions on the folder.
- Open the OfficeScan console. Navigate to Updates > Server > Update Source.
- Select Intranet location containing a copy of the current file and type the UNC path (\\<computer_name>\<shared_folder_name>) for the shared folder.
- Provide the credentials for the shared folder.
- Save the changes.
- Restart the OfficeScan Plug-in Manager service using the Microsoft Management Console.
- Navigate to Plug-in Manager and download and install the plug-in programs normally.
- After installing all the required plug-in programs, change the update source back to the ActiveUpdate server.
- Navigate to Updates > Server > Update Source.
- Select Trend Micro's ActiveUpdate Server.
- Save the changes.
