Summary

SafeSync for Enterprise administrator cannot configure Active Directory Integration using a Chrome browser with AdBlock extension installed. The following error message occurs:

"The server is unable to make a connection to the database. Please contact Trend Micro support."

This issue is caused by a default rule in AdBlock extension that blocks the following expression:

https://*/ad/

This expression or rule will block all AD restful API's such as:

  • https://SSFE-server-address:3443/api/admin/ad/settings?_=xxxxxxxxxxxxx
  • https://SSFE-server-address:3443/api/admin/ad/groups?_=xxxxxxxxxxxxx

To avoid this problem, do any of the following:

  • Disable AdBlock on SafeSync for Enterprise domain pages.
  • Use a different browser.
