The Private Proxy tool is used to enable Private Proxy settings and manage the agent's Private Proxy configurations.
Learn what the WFBS-SVC Private Proxy tool is and the rules and configurations needed to use it.
- Make sure that that the Private Proxy tool is in the same folder as the PccWFWMo.dll and UtilDebug.dll located in the …Client Server Security Agent\Hosted Agent folder before running and configuring it. Otherwise, there will be an error that the tool is searching for the said dlls.
- Once the tool is configured based on your preferred setup, it will be automatically executed as soon as the Hosted Agent service starts. Make sure the tool is still in the Hosted Agent folder.
- The tool can be run in any machine with an agent but must belong to the same network or has a route to other agents that you want the Private Proxy settings to be applied.
-
The Private Proxy tool is ideal for the following scenarios:
- With a controlled network (semi-closed environment) and not with the air-gapped network since the agent still requires an internet connection.
- Does not want to use the system proxy or has a different proxy server as with the system proxy.
- The tool uses the UDP port 61117 to communicate with the agent. This tool must not run along with the WhoIsAA tool on the same computer.
- It only supports HTTP and HTTPs download of PAC files. The network share folder is not supported.
- The tool also supports Unicast and Broadcast mode.
- It supports different proxy authentication modes.
- The Private Proxy tool is available in the English version only.
