After installing OfficeScan 10.6 Service Pack 3 (SP3) or 11.0 SP1, the following enhancement doesn't work.
Enhancement: Users can transfer clients from one OfficeScan server to another within the same domain using the "Move Client" command on the OfficeScan web console or the Client Mover tool "IpXfer.exe". Since OfficeScan clients can only be moved in the same domain hierarchy in the target OfficeScan server as in the previous OfficeScan server, it is important that the complete OfficeScan client domain information can be retrieved successfully when moving clients. This hot fix adds the full domain information of the OfficeScan client computer through the following registry key in the client registry:
Path: HKLM\SOFTWARE\TrendMicro\PC-cillinNTCorp
\CurrentVersion
Key: FullDomain
The fix is documented in the list of enhancements in OSCE 10.6 SP3 and is also included in OSCE 11.0 SP1.
To activate this feature after OSCE 10.6 SP3 or 11.0 SP1 installation, modify and deploy the global setting to the clients:
- Open the ofcscan.ini file under the \PCCSRV\ folder of the OSCE server.
- Under the Global Setting section, manually add the "GetFullDomainName=1" key.
- Save the changes and close the file.
- Open the OfficeScan server management console then:
- For OSCE 10.6, navigate to Networked Computers > Global Client Settings.
- For OSCE 11.0 & XG, go to Agents > Global Agent Settings.
You can find the OSCE client's full domain info on the following registry key on the client registry:
- For 32-bit: HKLM\SOFTWARE\TrendMicro\PC-cillinNTCorp\CurrentVersion\FullDomain
- For 64-bit: HKLM\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\TrendMicro\PC-cillinNTCorp\CurrentVersion\FullDomain
- Click Save to deploy the setting to clients.
You can find the OSCE client's full domain info on the following registry key on the client registry:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\TrendMicro\PC-cillinNTCorp\CurrentVersion\FullDomain
